The Pipercross air filter range is now one of the most comprehensive anywhere in the world, with fitment options for almost any model of car you care to mention. Thing is, the guys at Pipercross aren’t the type to sit back and rest on their laurels, and last year they were even busier than usual, developing a range of protective oversocks designed to fit snugly over the popular PX500 and PX600 range of filters to make them suitable for the most arduous of motorsport environments.
Made from a specially developed grade of blended foam, the oversocks have been designed to offer increased protection when your engine needs it most; in hot, arid and dusty conditions. It’s hard to overstate the negative implications that can arise from an engine ingesting harmful contaminants from outside the bay, and this is especially true of performance or competition engines, those that tend to be more specialised and highly strung. The need to provide engines of this nature with a further layer of protection has resulted in a brand new range of oversocks, all of which fit easily and look fantastic.
The all new range has been developed to match the firm’s most popular filters, and this means that they don’t just fit in mere seconds (seriously, it’s quicker to remove them than it is to take off your own socks), they can be specified for some of the most commonly encountered filtration solutions. They can be removed and cleaned equally swiftly, in the process prolonging the service life of the filter and preserving its factory performance levels.
