Following two hugely successful generations of Stilo full face racing helmet, the ST6 has been launched for 2025 with some noticeable benefits to improve comfort, weight, visibility and most importantly, safety. The Stilo ST6 shell is built on the experience of the previous model in top flight motorsport including World Endurance and Formula One. The existing Stilo ST5 FN helmet has been used in Formula One since 2015 and Stilo have taken feedback from a race-winning F1 Stilo driver to further adapt the ST6 to enhance its stability at high speed, its comfort and crucially, safety. Stilo were the first to develop and homologate an ABP (Advanced Ballistic Protection) helmet and use this in F1, this ABP standard requiring far greater level of protection in the upper visor area in the case of heavy impact in that zone. The ST6 FN ABP is now available in the 8859-2024 ABP standard which is a more cost effective option than the international specification 8860-2018 ABP. This ST6 FN ABP 8859 is ideal for the clubman level formula or single-seater driver seeking safety without a large cost implication, or competing in a series which now mandates the use of an ABP 8859 standard helmet as a minimum spec. Greater visibility through the visor aperture is achieved through a lower visor aperture meaning drivers benefit from improved visibility of the dashboard and cockpit controls. Meanwhile advanced air channels in the chin bar and top of the shell provide better breathability, reducing sweat and moisture and therefore, heat. The routing within the padding for the optional quick release, integrated drinks kits, radio cable routing and cold air system has been redesigned and the completely new linings have improved interlocking around the cheek and chin pad area for better usability. Not only have the cheek pads been improved but the interior linings as a whole, meaning the comfort is improved. Shell sizing structure in the ST6 has also evolved, thanks to a third, medium shell which is designed to fit the majority of drivers in the 59-61cm sizes. A full new range of accessories, exclusive to the ST6, including tinted visors, screw kits and advanced aerodynamics is available to order as extra options. The ST6 FN/GTN models are supplied without electronics built in, but can be added as an optional extra to suit all major racing radio systems and earplugs. The visor locking system has been adapted to meet, and pass, the latest FIA 8859-2024 specifications regarding visor retention.
